Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar will be awarded with India’s highest civilian honour, Bharat Ratna on 4 February at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.Sachin Tendulkar will be awarded with the Bharat Ratan by the Indian President Dr. Pranab Mukherjee.
According to a report, Tendulkar will get the Bharat Ratna on February 4 and the president will be part of the dress rehearsal to be held a day before on 3 February.
The decision to confer the highest civilian honour on Tendulkar was taken just moments after the maestro retired on 16 November , 2013. He retired from all formet of cricket after completing his 200th Test against WI on his homeground Wankhede Stadium in mumbai.
Tendulkar will be the youngest & first sportsperson to receive the Bharat Ratna . It is after a gap of almost five years, a Bharat Ratna is being conferred. Pt. Bhimsen Joshi was last person who honoured with the this title in 2009.
